Innsbarrow (/innsbarrow/ [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Tshtopsvnoiē County, Qiban Kingdom, within the Sylvanian Empire.

The name Innsbarrow is derived from the Sylvin language, as Innsbarrow was founded by Glêyê Belíhgùru Beeby, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Innsbarrow has a yearly average temperature of 18°C (64°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 9°C (48°F). Innsbarrow receives an average of 202 cm/y (79 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Innsbarrow covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 5488 m (18005 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Innsbarrow was founded durring the late 16th century in spring of the year 1551, by Glêyê Belíhgùru Beeby. The establishment of Innsbarrow suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Innsbarrow which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Innsbarrow was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Innsbarrow is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Innsbarrow is buildings are located arround a single spacious cobblestone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Innsbarrow's brittle defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Right off the bat Innsbarrow hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Many of those buildings are schools, scriptoriums, and even one college. One can only wonder what knowledge the town has come into.

Innsbarrow has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Innsbarrow has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Innsbarrow has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Innsbarrow has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Innsbarrow's citizens locals enjoy many vices and lustful appetites. They may have religious sanction for their deeds, or neighbors might trade with them for such things, or they could be followers of some ideology that blesses such pursuits. Their economy or their social organization is usually heavily reliant on such traffic, and to ensure its continuance they may have made bargains with various mortal and immortal powers.

Innsbarrow's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Innsbarrow was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Innsbarrow lost 235 people, 234 livestock, and 74 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 176, when members of Innsbarrow's militia enacted an operation to eliminate a specific group of the enemy's forces. The operation was complicated by aggravated civilians, who cause problems for the militia for a host of reasons. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the strategic location, which ended in a crushing defeat for Innsbarrow's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Innsbarrow's bards, historians, and legend keepers.

History
